Africa Prime Interview

This week’s US-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington D.C. is an invaluable opportunity for the revival of relations. After many years of neglect, the Summit paves the way for renewed communication, new economic engagement, and collaboration on shared global priorities.

However, both US and African leaders need to adopt radically new mindsets towards each other to yield results.

I have given an in-depth interview to @AfricaPrime on the potential benefits of revitalised US engagement in Africa and how we get there, including what African leaders must do to take ownership and responsibility. In the face of growing Russian and Chinese influence on the continent, there is a clear will for the US to play a major role in Africa. The time is now.
